Wish List

In-kind donations are an important way to support Snow Farm. Materials, tools, and equipment (in good condition) can directly improve studios, the office, or management of the property.

Our wishlist is below - along with links to see the items with their prices in detail.  If you would like to make our wishes come true, shop through the list and then contact Holly Martineau, Development Manager, to make a tax-deductible donation restricted to the item(s) of your choice.

Painting & Drawing Studio

concrete paint, garage paint, studio care

The floor will look so nice with a new coat of paint

flat file, drawing studio, portfolio

With this flat file, we will be able to store high quality paper in the studio, making it easier for students to access and more efficient for our staff when prepping for workshops.

Students staying late into the night at open studio need good light for their tired eyes.  We would like 10 of these task lamps.

encaustic painting, heated pallette, encaustic painting supplies

These state-of-the-art hot plates for encaustic painting are designed to reduce material waste and save energy.

Kiln/Stained Glass & Mosaics Studio

fusing kiln, fused glass, kiln glass

Imagine how much more work would come out of a kiln glass workshop if we had another large  fusing kiln

Our collection of soldering irons includes a variety of brands and styles.  It's time for a fresh set of ten new irons to give our students the best experience possible.

It would be so great to hand out tools in these super-organized tool caddies designed especially for stained glass artists.

mosaic tools, carbide tools, mosaic studio

This carbide-tipped, tabletop hardie will expand the techniques students can learn in a mosaics class.

Welding Studio

welding machinery

This plasma cutter is easier to maintain than our current one - plus, having two won't hurt!

welding tools, welding workshop, welding studio

This deluxe bandsaw will be quieter, safer and more accurate than our older model.  Wouldn't you love to work with it?

Flamework Studio

Hand tools get a lot of wear and tear in flamework workshops. We'd like to freshen our toolboxes with new mashers, paddles, and tweezers

Metalsmithing/Jewelry Studio

A hydraulic press would broaden the range of techniques we could offer in our workshops to include hollowforms such as beads, raised bowls, and small sculpture.  A hydraulic press is also used with chasing and repousse.

Farmhouse Studio

Many students bring their own sewing machines, but we'd like to have one available for as many students who might want one. Help us build our inventory.;

Three pairs of fabric scissors will help our students make cleaner, more precise cuts through multiple layers of fabric.

These retractable clothes lines would be put to good use in our summer dyeing classes.

fiber art supplies, fabric dyeing, stock pot

Our instructors have asked for larger pots for different dyeing techniques. Happy instructors mean happy students!

Ceramics Studio

Ceramics Studio Half Round Kiln ShelvesThese kiln shelves are light and easy to move.  Bonus:  they don't warp.

Ceramics Studio Full Round Kiln ShelvesLike the half shelves, these full round shelves are light and sturdy and necesary for larger projects and pieces.

Ceramics Studio Salt Kiln Shelves

A generous potter loaned us shelves when we built the soda kiln a couple years ago.  It's time to invest in our own set of 12 shelves

Three heavy-duty storage bins would provide a more efficient way of storing wood chips for the raku kiln.

Wood Studio

A wet dry shop vac with blower for the wood studio would do a great job on keeping the space free of sawdust and dirt.
