As member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild, Cassie Dickson is a traditional pattern weaver who specializes in the weaving of coverlets and the processing of the flax plant to linen cloth. She has been spinning, weaving, and natural dyeing for over 40 years. She has raised silk worms for the past 27 years and process silk cocoons to silk fabric. Recent teaching experience and presentations include the New England Flax and Linen Symposium 2016, John C. Campbell Folk School and the 2015 Southeast Fiber Forum. Dickson presents to colleges, schools, guilds, and regional fiber events.
