Liz Alpert Fay received a degree in Textile Design from The Program in Artisanry at Boston University. She later became intrigued with the technique of traditional rug hooking, and for the past 20 years has been creating hand hooked art of her own design. Lizs work has been widely exhibited in juried shows and invitational museum exhibitions, continues to be purchased for private collections, and appears in many publications. Present workshops take students on nature walks to discover inspiration for their own work, as well as providing instruction on designing contemporary hooked art.
