Handmade Pens from Beginning to End

Students will make at least 8 different pens while working with a variety of materials including exotic wood, stabilized wood, and acrylics and learning many different techniques. Start with how to cast a clear acrylic pen blank (without a pressure pot!) and make segmented pens, closed end pens, and laser cuts kits. Explore finishing techniques and discuss ways to market your one-of-a-kind fine writing instruments. NOTE: This workshop does not have a supply fee, but a $200 kit fee (for 10 pens) is payable to the instructor at the time of the workshop.
