Snow Farm wouldn’t be the special place that it is without the vibrant community of teaching and working artists who support our operation year in and year out. Many of our current Seconds Sale vendor and workshop instructors have once been students here themselves. Wherever you are in your artistic journey, we’ve got an opportunity for you to grow.
Seconds Sale Vendors
The Annual Seconds Sale is a fundraiser that supports Snow Farm, a nonprofit organization, and the artists whose work we sell. Over 3000 buyers visit the Seconds Sale over the last three weekends in November.
For artists: no set-up, no selling. Deliver your work to us, priced to sell, and enjoy a 50/50 split on all sales. Over 200 artists participate each year and new makers are always welcome.
Seconds can be excess inventory, experimental pieces, discontinued lines, or slightly flawed items.
Interested? Please submit your request to participate through the following form. You will be asked to include a few images of the work you wish to sell.
Workshop Instructors
Each year, Snow Farm features a diverse roster of exceptional workshop instructors. We welcome proposals from highly skilled teaching artists and craftspeople who are interested in sharing their expertise with our creative community. An ideal instructor will enjoy working with students of varying skill levels, be charismatic, and demonstrate dedication for their craft/art.
In order to be considered, please submit a workshop proposal using our online application form below. You will be asked to submit
- a brief workshop description or two (60 – 80 words each)
- an artistic bio or resume featuring teaching experience and accomplishments within your field
- links to your website and to social media pages that feature your work
- professional quality images of your work
Snow Farm generally reviews workshop proposals between January and June for the following calendar year; however, review may also occur outside of that timeframe. We encourage you to submit your idea at any time. Proposals will be kept on file for two years.
Workshop Scholarships & Access Programs
In our commitment to equity and access, there are three different programs at Snow Farm that allow artists to attend workshops for free or at a discount. The Work-Study program invites participants to live and work at Snow Farm for a month in exchange for attending workshops. The Workshop Access Program is based on income; eligible participants can take one workshop a year with a 60% discount on tuition. Our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Scholarships cover tuition and housing and are awarded to qualifying candidates by lottery. All scholarships have been awarded for 2025. Each of these programs has different criteria and a separate application.
Residencies
Snow Farm offers three unique artist residency opportunities throughout the year. The spring independent residencies are free for artists, aside from a small application fee, and are chosen by lottery.
