2027 Session
Program Dates: July 4 – July 17, 2027
Studio Walkthrough: July 16, 2027
Studios: ceramics, flameworking, metalsmithing/jewelry, sculpture, painting/drawing, stained glass/mosaics

The timeline below provides an overview of the application process:
Early Application Period: September 21 – December 31, 2026
Apply early and get a $100 discount!
Early applicants will be notified of their status and receive first studio confirmation by February 1, 2027
To secure a spot in the program, accepted students pay a $1,500 deposit (or full payment) by February 16, 2027
Applicants who made scholarship requests pay the deposit two weeks after awards are announced. Scholarship applicants can expect to be notified of their award status by April 1st.
Standard Application Period: January 1 – February 28, 2027
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Generally, applicants will be notified of their status and first studio within a month.
Once accepted into the program, a $1,500 deposit is due within two weeks to secure your spot. Applicants who made scholarship requests pay the deposit two weeks after awards are announced. Scholarship applicants can expect to be notified of their award status by April 1, 2027.
All scholarship applications must be received by February 28, 2027.
April 1, 2027
Scholarship awards are announced. Deposits are due for scholarship applicants two weeks after the notification of their scholarship award.
May 14, 2027
All payments and accepted student forms are due.
Last day to cancel and receive a refund, less a $500 cancellation fee. Please review the FAQs for the full cancellation policy.
Before You Apply
You can start the application at any time, and save your progress along the way. You will need the following items in order to complete the process:
- All applicants are required to write a short letter of interest answering the following prompt. Write your letter before you apply and save it as a PDF to upload onto your CampDoc application. In 200-300 words please describe: What excites you most about Snow Farm Summer and how do you think this experience will impact your artistic practice? What do you hope to get out of 9 hours per day in the studios?
- All applicants are required to submit 3-5 photos of their work. This is not a formal portfolio. By sharing your work, staff can learn more about your artistic practice and interests.
- All applicants are required to pay a $150 non-refundable application fee
- Scholarship applicants are required to submit a copy of their most recent tax return. If there are circumstances not visible in the return, an optional financial statement can also be written on the application.
For First Time Applicants:
- A letter of recommendation from a teacher is required for new students. Talk to your teacher and ask them to fill out this form. You will need to include the teacher’s name and contact information on your application. Please note that Snow Farm does not reach out to the teacher listed on your application to request a recommendation, applicants must direct them to our website for further instruction. Your application will not be complete until we receive the recommendation.
Costs
Snow Farm is a nonprofit organization and provides tremendous value for students and families. Partial, need-based scholarships are available.
2027 Tuition, Room (shared occupancy), Meals, Guest Artist workshop & Field Trip: $4,500 (early applicant discount of $100)
Materials Fee: $400
A non-refundable application fee of $150 is required with all applications.
There is no separate scholarship application. Scholarship requests are included in the standard application and must be received by February 28, 2027. Scholarship applicants can expect to be notified of their award status by April 1,2027.
Full payment and all documents for accepted students are due by May 14, 2027.
