The Work-Study program is an opportunity for students, artists, and craftspeople (ages 18+) to work at Snow Farm in exchange for tuition-free workshops, housing, and meals when the dining hall is open. The Program runs from the end of April through October in five sessions.

Applications for the 2026 season are now open!
Work-study participants will be primarily responsible for workshop coordination, as well as housekeeping and kitchen support. Potential administrative hours may be included in schedules as well.
General Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Serving as a welcoming and knowledgeable point person on campus for both instructors and students
- Checking in registered students, answering questions about housing assignments, campus studios, and workshops
- Administering student paperwork when applicable
- Monitoring the coordinator cell phone after hours
- Attending to any student needs including but not limited to: health emergencies or other crises, studio concerns, meals, and housing-related needs
- Acting as a liaison between students, instructors, and staff
- Keeping common areas, patio, and dining hall bathrooms stocked and tidy; emptying trash as needed
- Monitoring the gallery desk at meals, transacting gallery sales and restocking when needed
- Taking photographs of activities and workshops throughout the session for social media
- Facilitating evening activities such as bonfires, movies, and studio tours
- Supporting staff during the Snow Farm workshop orientation
- Closing out workshops, collecting information and payments, completing workshop accounting, and monitoring workshop clean up schedules
- Assisting housekeeping with room turnovers between workshops
- Keeping campus beautiful with weeding and gardening as needed
Two participants will be selected for each session; participants will alternate between acting as coordinator, and taking part in workshops. Participants will be expected to work evenings and weekends. Participants are responsible for supply fees at a 50% discount when applicable. Kit fees directly to instructors must be paid in full.
Successful candidates will acclimate quickly; have a positive, flexible attitude; work efficiently and independently; be able to lift and carry boxes/supplies; connect well with people, and have a sense of humor! Experience in one of our studios is desired (ceramics, kiln/stained glass, mosaics, 2D/mixed media, metalsmithing/jewelry, fiber/baskets, woodworking, or flameworking).
