My work is a personal, visual diary of exploration and discovery. As a passionate naturalist, delightful inspirations come from the smaller, often overlooked and unseen creatures in biology. These creatures and habitats continue to evoke in me a sense of wonder and joy. As a former PhD research scientist and educator, I find the intersection of science and art a natural bridge to creating art works inspired by nature. My work is sold in galleries and I have received awards from several juried shows and exhibitions. The focus of my workshops is to share my enthusiasm working with glass, and give students a fundamental understanding of glass working processes so that they will be able to create glass art successfully on their own.
