Tony Serviente, Kiln Glass

Tony Serviente

Tony Serviente - I was born in 1956 in the Wonder Bread Suburbs of New Jersey. I survived by escaping into electronics, unicycling and jazz. After high school, I joined the U.S. Coast Guard. Four years later, I left the service and worked in electronics. After a freak electrical storm, I took a Stained Glass class that opened my eyes to a new muse. I attended Pilchuck and Camp Colton (Boyce Lundstrom’s) glass schools which opened my eyes even wider. Afterwards, I went to work on kiln forming techniques and decades later - I haven’t slowed down. I teach with the same enthusiasm and energy that I exhibit in my studio. I have no secrets and am eager to share.
