Flutter & Buzz in Flameworking
Margaret’s nature-inspired glass art is the result of first melting and sculpting soft glass at a torch, and then painting with vitreous enamel. Explore the process, working both on and off mandrel, and creating detail and complexity with paint. Demos may include beetles, bees, butterflies, caterpillars, and foliage. Student can make beads, pendants, and small sculpture. With a sketchbook and ideas, translate Margaret’s signature techniques for your own designs. Some flameworking experience suggested.
