Fundamentals of Greenwood Carving
Learn how to carve a spoon using just a saw, an axe, and two knives. Instruction will cover functional spoon design, sharpening skills, safe axe use, and knife technique. A special emphasis will be on achieving a smooth, faceted knife finish without the use of sandpaper. By understanding how to work with the grain of a piece of wood and how it will behave as it dries, you will create strong, elegant spoons that will improve with age and use.
